Insight is only the beginning.

Helping high-functioning adults heal childhood wounds, change patterns, and build healthier relationships through therapy, coaching, and education.

We all learn ways of adapting to the environments and relationships that shape us.

Maybe you learned to achieve. To please. To stay quiet. To take care of everyone else. To avoid conflict. To be independent. To keep your feelings to yourself. To stay in control. To become whoever you needed to be in order to feel safe, connected, accepted, or okay.

These patterns aren’t flaws. They are brilliant adaptations.

But what helped you adapt then may be limiting you now — in your relationships, your work, the way you see yourself, or your ability to know what you actually want.

Often, these patterns begin earlier than we realize. Not always because something terrible happened, but because we were learning what relationships required of us, what emotions had room to exist, what parts of ourselves were welcomed, and how to stay connected to the people we depended on (especially if they weren’t the easiest people to get along with).

I’m Ana.

I’m a therapist, clinical supervisor, educator, and lifelong student of people and relationships.

For more than a decade, my work has centered around the connection between childhood experiences, attachment, emotional needs, and the patterns we carry into adulthood.

I’m especially interested in what sits underneath things like people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, overfunctioning, difficulty setting boundaries, conflict avoidance, relationship struggles, and the pressure to keep everything together.

I don’t believe these patterns are something “wrong” or “broken” in us. I see them as brilliant adaptations.

At some point, they helped us stay connected, stay safe, belong, avoid conflict, earn approval, or manage something we didn’t yet have the tools to understand.

The problem isn’t how you adapted. The problem is that you may be living in a different environment now — and the strategies that once protected you may now be keeping you stuck, disconnected, or unfulfilled.

The work isn’t only understanding your younger self. It’s becoming the adult that younger part of you needed.

Let’s Work Together

Individual & Couples Therapy

Therapy is designed for individuals who are ready to move beyond survival mode by healing the root causes of the patterns that continue to shape their lives. Together, we'll explore the attachment wounds, childhood experiences, and protective adaptations that gave rise to perfectionism, anxious or avoidant attachment, chronic self-criticism, masking, emotional disconnection, hyper vigilance, or constantly becoming who you think others need you to be. Rather than simply managing symptoms, we'll help you build the internal safety needed to live with greater authenticity, security, and freedom.

Great fit if you're struggling with:

Outcome: Healing.

*I can only provide psychotherapy to those living in South Carolina or Florida due to licensing regulations.

Boundaries Coaching

Coaching is designed for high-functioning professionals, business owners, leaders, parents, and helpers who want to start living with greater intention. Unlike therapy, which focuses on healing the wounds that shaped you, coaching is future-focused and helps you apply what you're learning to real life through practical guidance, accountability, and intentional action.

Great fit if you want to:

  • Set healthy boundaries

  • Stop overfunctioning and people-pleasing

  • Communicate with greater confidence and clarity

  • Navigate difficult conversations

  • Become a more confident leader at work or at home

  • Build healthier relationships

  • Make decisions that align with your values

  • Follow through on the changes you're working toward

  • Create sustainable habits instead of falling back into old patterns

  • Live with greater intention and purpose

Outcome: Growth.

*Available virtually to anyone in the United States. Please note this is not therapy. If you have unhealed trauma, coaching is not the appropriate service type and I may have to refer you to a psychotherapist in your state.

Education

Not everyone needs therapy or one-on-one coaching. Sometimes you're simply looking for a better understanding of why you think, feel, and relate the way you do.

Through articles, guides, books, and future resources such as online courses, you'll learn how attachment, survival strategies, and the nervous system shape your relationships, emotions, and everyday life—so you can begin making intentional choices instead of simply reacting on autopilot.

Great fit if you want to:

  • Better understand yourself and your relationships

  • Learn about attachment, trauma, and the nervous system

  • Explore the Unguarded framework

  • Develop practical tools at your own pace

  • Continue growing between therapy or coaching sessions

  • Access expert guidance in a flexible, self-paced format

Outcome: Understanding.
